Hand Augers allow for manual excavation of a small borehole or for recovering loose soil below the ground surface.
The user pushes down on a T-handle and rotates the auger so that the cutting blades dig into the soil and force the loosened matter up and into the bucket. Extension rods are added as depth increases. Hand auger components can be purchased individually to build or replace your own kit.
